Why are Tune-Ups Important?
The purpose of preventative maintenance is to keep your system up and running all season long, ensuring reliable and efficient operation over the life of your system. All HVAC equipment manufacturers recommend performing maintenance at least two (2) times per year.
This is often a requirement to maintain the integrity of the warranty for the system.
In addition to all the great benefits outlined below, customers who are enrolled in our maintenance program receive preferred service, never pay after-hours rates, and receive up to 10% off repairs.
Lower Energy Bills
A properly operating system is more efficient and can have a major effect on energy consumption. With regular maintenance you can ensure that your HVAC system is not overworked. Performing routine preventative maintenance will help to keep your energy bills down.
Reduce Repair Costs
Preventative maintenance helps identify potential issues before they lead to a bigger problem. This allows for a proactive approach, reducing the potential for unexpected repair costs.
Extend the Lifetime of Your System
Buying a new system is a significant expense. Investing in a preventative maintenance program will ensure your system is running properly and extend the useful life of your equipment.
Prevent Water Damage
Clogged drain pans/lines are the most common cause for service calls. Under certain circumstances this can lead to water overflow and damage to the surrounding structure. Regular maintenance of the drain pans/lines will reduce the likelihood of a clogged drain line.
Safety
HVAC systems provide the perfect conditions to promote microbial growth. Studies have shown this can be hazardous to your respiratory system. Sanitizing the interior of your air handler regularly will help to reduce microbial growth.
